Superposition IV is the
oldest and largest 24-hour hackathon
for high school and college females (trans and non-binary
inclusive) in the Bay Area. We hosted 220 students from across
8 states and 2 countries, of which 77% were first-time hackathon
attendees.
Our mission is to
empower young womxn in tech of all levels
of experience by providing a
supportive environment for them to explore
their passion for computer science. Additionally, we want to
encourage more girls to
join, learn, and thrive in
technology-related fields.
our fourth iteration
Join hundreds of students at the Bay Area’s largest 24 hour
all-female hackathon, regardless of your background or
experience level.

MICHELLE ZHANG

"I went in, dead set on being a pre-med major, only
wanting to try out CS just for fun… after 24 hours, I had
attained an unimaginable amount of knowledge. In the end,
I’m so grateful for this experience and the opportunity to
have discovered a new seed of passion."

Recap
Since our very first iteration in 2017, Superposition has strived
to provide a
safe, welcoming, racially diverse, and supportive
space for girls to delve into the realm of computer science. This
video recaps Superposition's first iteration in which middle, high
school, and college girls in the San Francisco Bay Area of
all coding experience levels and backgrounds
were challenged to use technology for
social good. Superposition has impacted
over 264 attendees in venues, like VSCO,
and continues to create a
positive attendee experience.
